Travelling to different destinations and seeing the world, is one of the most fulfilling things you can do in life. You learn and gain so much. I know I have.
Learn to be independent
You learn how to be self sufficient and take care of yourself. Something you might not have been capable of before, because you’ve always known your parents, and friends etc have your back. By comparison you truly have to rely on your own smarts in a foreign country.
See sights you wouldn’t otherwise
Pictures do not do the world justice. No matter how high the definition. And there are things going on behind the scenes that you wouldn’t know unless you pause your Cheekybingo game and plan a spontaneous trip abroad, to see for yourself.
Grow up
If anything is going to make you grow up, travelling will. Not the bad kind necessarily. It’s more a case of shedding some of the naivety you might have picked up whilst living in your comfort zone, and gaining new experiences that help you grow as a person. Travel is many of our childhood dreams, so you don’t necessarily lose your inner child.
Different perspective
You gain a new perspective on life. One that hasn’t been given to you by the people you’ve grown up with, or have always influenced your opinions. You get to understand different ways of life and cultures. Basically you become less ignorant of the people and experiences around you.
Become less materialistic
As you grow up and move into adulthood, you don’t realise just how much material things rule your life, until you give them up to go travelling. There’s so much more to life than the clothes in the magazines, looking good and being rich. It takes travelling the world for lots of people to see that.
Intelligence
If you want to know the true facts, you have to go out there and discover them for yourself. That’s where true knowledge is found. Not textbooks; Life experience.
What have you learned from your travels?

Top article. Travel is the best teacher out there, truly. In my case I can safely say that traveling the world also helped me learn how to manage my finances better and spot opportunities to make peoples lifes better/easier.
Trawell!
