Day 8: Dropping Into Fear and Why That’s a Good Thing

Do you have a creative dream but you’ve been letting fear hold you back?

I know I have. My next book idea has been bubbling away and yet I’ve done nothing towards making it happen.

Not a book proposal, no brainstorm of the structure and definitely no writing.

It’s all been swirling around inside my head which is a pointless place for it to remain, because no one can read my mind!

For me it’s because having written and published two No #1 Bestselling books and being picked up by a big name publisher to republish my first one, I know exactly what it takes to birth a book.

I know how much hard work is involved and what I need to do to make it happen – and it has been making me put this off before I’ve even begun.

But in a session on resistance and fear at the Enspiral Retreat, I realized that that was actually a story I’ve been telling myself and that I need to reframe.

I can make the process as easy and joyous as I wish.

What’s more I can focus on the why of this book and why it needs to get out of my head and be written.

The method our friend Katie Grenier shared with us to do this, and it’s one I’ve done for my own clients too and as part of Josh and my Life Pilot process is a combination of:

The 5 Whys and

Dropping into Fear.

So in this video I share the latter one and suggest you use this method for yourself.

It’s really powerful and takes just a couple of minutes to dissipate or crush your fear.

What you’re left with the sheer joy and excitement of going ahead with your creative dream. Do it now!
