How to Fall in Love with Your Business

Has your work become a little blah and you want to fall in love with your business again?

I’ve personally done this in the last few months after almost a year of letting go and stepping away into new adventures and it’s done me the world of good.

I’m BACK baby and loving life and my work more than ever. The funny thing is, it’s the work I’ve always done and loved, we just had to breakup for a while in order to appreciate why we loved each other so!

My former client and now dear friend Jenny Plant, has been on a very similar journey to me, transitioning from account management training, to eCommerce – both doing and training and beyond…and then back.

I’ve watched her go through this fascinating journey over the past few years, all the while knowing and understanding much of what she’s been going through, as it’s a similar journey to mine.

More recently I saw her running sell out workshops, speaking at events, being invited on podcasts and fully immersing herself back into what is now, her thriving Account Management training business.

So I shot her an email to say ‘Girl, what’s up. And what the heck is the magic sauce you’re consuming as you look hot and like you’re on a delicious journey right now‘.

Well, something to that effect!

Jenny shared with me her journey from struggling solopreneur to running multiple businesses at once, to circling back to her Account Management training business, which is what she ultimately fell in love with.

Once she began to implement the “Profit First” methodology by Mike Michalowicz in her business and personal life as well as put all her energy and focus into account management skills and promoting her signature course, “Account Accelerator”, Jenny began to feel happier and more relaxed for the first time in ages.

She was able to take all her skills and experiences and funnel them into a business that feels right for her, even though she had moved away from it.

Does this resonate with you too?

Sometimes we can get discouraged by the work we’re doing and even become bored. When that happens, we really need to get curious about the reasons behind our feelings and go on an internal journey.

Don’t mistake this for throwing away everything you know, though.

Instead, build upon what you’ve already learned and figure out what it is that taps into your sweetspot of what you know, what you’re good at, and what you can get paid for.

Once you do that, you’ll be able to fall in love with your business again.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • How to fall back in love with your business
  • Why it’s important to funnel your skills and experiences into a business that feels right for you
  • The importance of constantly being a Leading Learner
  • How Jenny went from being stressed out and stretched too thin to feeling energized and motivated by her work.
