About Your Writing Buddy, Natalie...
Hi. I’m Natalie Sisson, an Online Business Strategist, Author, Speaker, Podcaster, Teacher and lover of handstands.
It took me four years of 'thinking about writing' my first book, The Suitcase Entrepreneur, and just three months to write it.
When I did, thanks to marketing my book as I wrote it, it became a No#1 Bestseller in not one, but three Amazon categories!
To date it has sold more than 35,000 copies and has received 300+ 5-star reviews on Amazon.
As a self-published author that makes me extremely proud.
Four years later this same self-published, crowdfunded book, got picked up by a Big Five Publisher and I got a 5 figure contract for the 3rd Edition!
So I know how powerful writing a book can be for you personally and professionally.
But, here’s the cold hard truth… I almost burned out in 2013 going through the whole process from writing, marketing and publishing my damn book.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved every moment of it.
It also led to me writing my second No #1 Bestselling book, The Freedom Plan in 2018, with $10,000 in pre-sales thanks to crowdfunding.
Both these books have opened so many doors for me, as I know they can for you, like international paid speaking gigs, creating and launching my six figures online course, a huge growth in my community, credibility and confidence.
They also bring in weekly ongoing sales without any effort from to promote them.
My superpower is bringing fantastic people together to support each other in this learning, while I crack the whip (in a loving and supportive way) to get you past your own roadblocks so you take massive action.
I've designed this guided self-study and writing experience to give you the confidence to believe that you are more than capable of writing your damb book.
Come with me and take tiny steps yet big leaps towards writing, marketing and pre-selling your book!

I really appreciated being part of your course, especially the group writing sessions and daily commitment to turn up and write. I was able to write at least every day for 60 days! It kept me focused on finishing my book and I have a clearer path ahead to build buzz and launch this book! I better understand now that writing a few books a year can be a real career and provide streams of income for the life I want.
Proven Younger Founder
Write The Damn Book was a great program to get me focussed on putting time aside to write MY damn book! I wrote 30,000 words and feel like I'm getting closer to a finished project. I quickly worked out what worked best for me - larger chunk times instead of daily 30mins and I committed to twice a week. The set times for writing sessions and Natalie’s email accountability pulled me into, being accountable with my time too.
Dr. Claudia Gross
Organizational Consultant, Management Trainer and Process Facilitator
Co-writing with Natalie and the other participants of Write The Damn Book has been an effective way for me to write the final chapter of my book and get it finished, two years after starting it. This course helped me get clear about my daily and weekly commitments, and allowed me to hone in on my priorities. Natalie also provided invaluable information about marketing our books, and we were able to join other amazing authors for fireside chats and benefit from their recommendations!

I am so grateful that I started this journey with Natalie. After making a goal in February to start my book, this course was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. I learnt so much about the process after writing your book, including editing, copywriting and the different design options. The group writing sessions were a great way to share and be inspired along the way, without being overwhelming. The fireside chats (author interviews) were just the right amount of valuable information. Thanks Natalie, it was great to learn from you and make a start on my book journey too.
Impact Storyteller, Narrative Strategist and Spoker Word Artist
Write The Damn Book helped me gain a lot of clarity on my writing process and publishing options, and I was inspired to write almost 30,000 words of my manuscript over the 60 days! I really enjoyed the group writing sessions, the expert author interviews and being supported by Natalie and others in the group, and hearing their experiences with their process.
I am consistently inconsistent, and being part of the Write the Damn Book course supported me to commit to my writing, by having a weekly time where I wrote alongside others. I loved the weekly encouragement, videos, and resources. I was not as consistent as I would have liked, but you were Natalie, which made me want to keep up with you! Thanks for the push to succeed!
Writer & Consultant
I'm so grateful that I joined Write the Damn Book. It gave me the kickstart I needed to outline, research and begin writing the book I've been dreaming about for a long time. The affirmation from other writers in the group gave me the confidence I really needed to continue. Natalie gave me lots of invaluable information that will make the publishing and marketing journey easier. Overall, I found the experience fun, supportive, informative, and inspirational. Thanks Natalie!
Natalie’s program was a fantastic way to kickstart writing my novel. Writing is usually a solitary endeavour, so companionship was wonderful as was the accountability - committing to turning up and writing. Plus I picked up a lot of tips on going beyond the book. I commenced a weekly writing schedule, transferred my work to Scrivener, formed the outline, developed the characters, wrote several thousand words and am well on my way to writing my damn book.
Empowerment Coach at Jobendle.com
It was lovely getting inspired by my book again. After avoiding it for so long I got re-connected and excited about its purpose, the content and the message it's here to share. I loved the author interviews and also all of the touchpoints kept reminding me, in a good way, that I really want to write this book and that I have to find a way to prioritise it.’
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have a book idea to take this self-guided course?
I mean it would help, but no it's not necessary. Just start writing. That's more than 95% of people ever do. I'll help you out as best I can to get your first book out of your head and into a format you can publish now or later.
This isn’t great timing for me, can I buy it now and access the materials later?
Absolutely! You get lifetime access to this lab and all the materials and bonus templates I'm giving you the minute you enrol. You can login any time and use all this valuable knowledge I'm sharing, whenever it works for you.
I’m not quite ready to write a book. Is this the best time to enrol?
I hope I inspire you to write your first (or perhaps fifth book) as you go through this self-guided course. If not now, then when? But of course you may just be intrigued as to the book writing, editing, publishing and launching process - I know I am. So just come along for that ride. Of course, if you’re really not ready yet, remember you can access the content anytime once you’ve signed up.
How much time each week will I need to commit to Write The Damn Book?
Well, it’s up to you as you'll want to factor in your own dedicated writing time, but you can review all the materials in approximately ONE hour per week. If you want to add in 1-2 hours to use the recorded 'Writing Group sessions' to help you write each week, that would really help you get your book written.
These are all accessible online in our course home on Podia.
Plus there the six guest expert interviews that you can view anytime. These are around 30 minutes each and insanely valuable.
Will you be helping me write my book?
In short, yes. I'll be there guiding you through my lessons and bonuses, as well as in the recorded sessions you watch. I might even reply to your accountability emails each week if you take the time to tell me how you're progressing!
I have never seen anything like this before. Is it for real? Will it work?
This is actually one of the main reasons that I created Write The Damn Book. I noticed so many people reading, watching, learning and not enough doing, writing and taking action.
When I ran this in 2018 I wrote my Freedom Plan Book, and many other aspiring writers got 50-100% of their book written. When I ran this live again in April 2020, it worked super well for authors who took time to commit. If you block out time in your calendar and work through the recorded writing sessions and lessons, then yes, it will!
